VietGap or “Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices” means practices that are conducted in a manner consistent with proper and accepted customs and standards as established and followed by similar agricultural operations under similar circumstances and includes the use of innovative technology used with advanced management practices.
VietGap is issued by MARD on January 28, 2008, based on the international Good Agricultural Practices like EUREPGAP, GLOBALGAP, ASEANGAP and FRESHCARE and so on to instruct the producers to improve the quality and ensure food safety and hygiene and minimize potential chemical, biological and physical risks at all stages of production, from seeding to delivering.
