The summer-autumn crop is affected by many diseases and pests in rainy season

For rice crop, some major harmful diseases and pests should be aware such as thrips, leaf folders, emigrating and pre-existing brown backed hoppers, grassy stunt disease, ragged stunt disease, black stripe disease and alum contamination affecting the growth of rice from seeding, branching and blossoming; and rice blast and black kernel disease affecting the ripe blossoming process.
