Joint Program of Association of Enterprises in Southern cities and provinces

According to the Business Association of the provinces and cities in the South, cooperation activities between associations are increased in depth, both contributing to the association of production and business activities, and helping member businesses expand their trade cooperation, creating the premise for the sustainable development of local and regional economy.

Assessing the effectiveness of the joint program, Dong Nai Association of Businesses said that thanks to the association, enterprises and businessmen in the province and in the region have conditions to access information and exchange experiences, supporting each other to grow together. Specifically, in the management and operation of the association, the Standing Committees regularly propagate and mobilize the member enterprises to participate in the program and enhance multi-dimensional information exchange among the Associations of cities and provinces; attend training programs and courses inside and outside the province to update new information, learn more experience in management and business.

Many Enterprise Associations, such as Lam Dong, Soc Trang and Ben Tre, have set up legal consultancy and legal aid centers, establishing Legal Consultancy Committee, Corporate Financial Consultancy Committee to help their members. Other Associations such as Dong Nai, Can Tho, Dong Thap, Ben Tre have organized the program "Entrepreneur talk show, "Connection talk show" weekly and monthly with various topics to exchange experiences, remedy difficulties or implement new policies for businesses.

Standing committees of associations of provinces and cities also promoted many activities such as cooperating with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the local trade promotion centers to provide information on trade promotion programs, fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the country to member enterprises to register to promote their products, seek partners and expand the market; collaborating with universities, research institutes, centers for supporting small and medium enterprises, departments and localities to organize many training courses, update information about international market, provide knowledge and skills in management, business and marketing, support the business in updating the trends to make production and business plans accordingly.

Not only supporting the member enterprises, the Enterprise Association also play a role of a representative connecting the businessmen community and enterprises with provincial leaders and local functional departments. Through conferences, talk shows, meetings, associations, the difficulties and bottlenecks in production and business activities have been directly addressed and solutions have been proposed to improve the investment environment, contributing to the local stable socio-economic development. Specifically, Dong Nai Association of Enterprises regularly update information of enterprises’ activities and timely propose leaders of provinces and departments hold talk shows with businesses to find solutions to difficulties; Can Tho Association of Enterprises proactively conducted surveys on the effectiveness of administrative procedures reform, the perception of local business environment as the basis for proposing the improvement of investment attraction policy; Ben Tre Association of Enterprises participates in consulting and criticizing the policies of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the mobilization of social resources for the construction of socio-economic infrastructure. This effect has contributed to the enhancement of the prestige and reputation of the Association of Enterprises toward the leaders and the State agencies in the provinces.

In order for the cooperation among associations in the region to be more effective, Dong Nai Association of Enterprises, with the responsibility for hosting the organization, has made specific recommendations such as: HCMC Association of Enterprises should continue to support Southern business associations in connecting to domestic, regional and international trade; VCCI Viet Nam organizes annual meetings for the domestic Associations of Enterprises in each region, so that they will have the opportunity to share experiences, agree on policy mechanisms, investment and business environment for the corporate community; The Government and Ministries will soon have a guideline on the implementation of the Law on Support of Small and Medium Enterprises to create a favorable environment for small and medium enterprises to develop, ensuring the long-term stability of the policy, so that businesses can be assured to make their investment.

In addition, the host also suggested that the Associations of Enterprises in the Southern region continue to collaborate with provincial People's Committees, departments and localities to promote the cooperation and remove difficulties for enterprises; To further enhance cooperation activities and exchange visits; focusing on supporting members to promote and sell products and pay attention to the implementation of six key programs: increasing the management and operation capacity of the association; Collaborate to expand and enhance services for members; Connect the business community, enterprises with provincial leaders, leaders of departments; Effectively carry out campaigns and programs of the Party and State; Participate in local charitable activities; Organize activities to celebrate "Vietnamese Businessmen Day".

According to the general assessment from the Association of Southern Businesses, from the cooperative programs, the Associations in the region have implemented many activities to protect, support and assist the development of member enterprises in stable development. In addition, the Associations of Enterprises in provinces and cities are also actively involved in formulating and reviewing mechanisms and policies related to enterprises in order to create a smooth mechanism in the management and operation of production and trade activities, improving the investment environment in the localities.
