Mr. Thai Anh Duc, Director of Sao Lam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu commune, Vinh Cuu district).
* Manufacturing industrial packaging
After working for businesses in a few sectors, in 2010 Mr. Duc decided to follow his own dream of entering the field of packaging production for the industry. The product that he aimed at was the kind of packaging used for businesses, such as animal food production, cement packaging, agricultural export product packaging...
Mr. Duc shared: "Unlike paper packaging or other conventional packaging, the product line for the industrial sector is unknown. To consume this item, the production is not made for the mass-market but in accordance with the needs of customers' "
At the beginning, Mr. Duc only provided goods to some familiar units where he aimed at good quality to compete. Then he gradually expanded distribution. So far the products of Mr. Duc's business have been available nationwide. Moreover, from last year to the present Mr. Duc even received orders from Korea.
* High competition
According to Mr Duc, exports are currently in sharp competition with Chinese products. This is a country that has good supporting industry, so Chinese enterprises have the advantage of cheap raw materials, so the price of the product is very competitive. "As far as I know, Chinese enterprises have had a variety of ways to explore the capacity of Vietnamese enterprises and then taken the advantages to compete in the Vietnamese market," Duc said. .
In the process of manufacturing and distributing products, Mr. Duc discovered that if there was no linkage, then surely enterprises would be weak and unable to develop. For example, his business only produce jumbo bags while customers have the demand for other products such as PP woven bags or OPP film bags. The size of the product must vary, from 100 grams to 2 ton. There are customers who order just a few products be the enterprise still has to take care of such orders to keep the relationship with its customers.
To solve this problem, Mr. Duc devised a plan for linked production. He has negotiated and linked with many other businesses to ensure the supply of all kinds of products required from small orders to large orders at the same time. According to Mr. Duc, in this way, businesses can save their investment while keeping their product quality at their disposal, unlike goods with unknown origin. This model is quite effective and he is continuing to promote, especially to compete imported goods from China.
