That is the direction of the Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep at the meeting with tourism businesses in the province which took place on August 25th. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep requested departments, sectors and related units to come up with plans to support enterprises in developing local tourism, including river tourism; improving the activities of the Association of Local Tourism Promotion; reviewing to supplement tourist sites in traffic planning; understanding the needs of people and tourists to have plans to install suitable ATM towers; considering the adjustment for a more appropriate and flexible price policy in Cat Tien National Park.

The provincial leader also encouraged tourism businesses to promote linkages as well as improve service quality and management capacity. In particular, the work of enhancing the quality of human resources and improving the professional training for employees working for travel businesses, restaurants, hotels ... should also be attached to great importance. Local governments should take the initiative in ensuring security and fair competition at tourist attractions in the area.

Representatives of more than 40 tourism businesses, restaurants, hotels and tourism consulting companies expressed their opinions and ideas, such as: connecting tourist attractions and creating the linkage among tourism enterprises in the province; establishing travel and hotel clubs; building and expanding infrastructure to develop tourism; providing support to tourism, especially ecotourism start-ups, ... Some enterprises addressed the issues related to berths and yards and granting permits for tourism operation; promoting propagation and training human resources to develop tourism in the province; improving food hygiene and safety issues, creating a friendly tourism environment.
