Industrial Production in July Estimated at More Than VND10 Trillion

The cumulative for the past seven months of 2011 hits VND67.65 trillion, up 17.2 percent over the same period, accounting for 56 percent according to annual plans.

8 out of 9 industry groups see an increase in production value over the previous month.

One shows a decline in production value is Paper and Paper Product Making.

This is due to an increase in raw paper import prices, and in input costs while paper industry is reducing its production capacity.

The cumulative total for the past seven months of 2011 shows that 8 out of 9 industries rise compared with the same period. However, it is not a big increase. One industry declining is Water and Electricity.

Building Material Mining and Manufacturing is estimated to increase by 0.6 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 11.5 percent.

- Agricultural Product Processing is estimated to decrease by 0.9 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 21.1  percent.

- Textile, Garment and Footwear is estimated to increase by 1.7 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 20.5 percent.

- Wood and Bamboo Processing is estimated to increase by 1.8 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 18.6 percent.

- Paper and Publishing is estimated to decrease by 1.9 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 6.9 percent.

- Chemical, Rubber and Plastic is estimated to increase by 1 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 13.5 percent.

- Engineering is estimated to increase by 0.5 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 19.8 percent.

- Electricity and Electronics is estimated to increase by 1.3 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months rises by 6.6 percent.

- Electricity and Water accounts for by 0.6 percent and is estimated to increase by 4 percent over the previous month and the cumulative total for the past seven months decreases by 1 percent over the same period.
