The contest is held annually to gradually give training to and to test the workforce that is more and more professional and skillful, and better at learning new technologies.
The contest is also to help raise the company’s workers’ awareness of industrial behaviors and labor discipline, and to honor quiet electricians who forget about all hardship to be on duty day and night and to promptly deal with grid faults and to keep providing a secure and premium-quality power supply.
Through the contest, one champion will be selected to participate in the skilled workers contest held by EVN on May 9, 2011.
The contest revolves around on-the-spot practice, multiple-choice, and oral tests.
The contents concerning how to deal with power failure, how to manage and operate grid systems and 110 kV transformer stations, power lines and distribution transformers.

After the contest came to a
close, the organization board awarded the first prize to Long Thanh Power, the
second prize to Nhon Trach Power, and the third prize to Long Khanh Power and
granted Skilled Worker Title 2011 to four winners: Do Van Quy (from Nhon Trach
Power), Ninh Thai Cuong (from Long Khanh Power), and Nguyen Van Can and Dao Minh
Nhan (from Long Thanh Power).
