A view of the workshop
|
According to the center, in
recent years, domestic animal diseases tend to be more common, especially avian
flu, foot and mouth disease, blue-eared pig epidemic, etc. The reason is that
today’s cattle-breeding in our country is still quite small-scaled, therefore;
it is very difficult to control the disease when it occurs. On the other hand,
farmers may not be more concerned with precautionary measures; vaccination in
many areas is just formal while local veterinarian force is fairly weak.
In order to increase the
competitiveness of livestock products, orient towards the clean livestock
breeding, participants suggested that in future State should have strategic
planning of livestock concentrated areas with support and encouragement policies
to attract farmers to the areas along with strengthening and supporting of
vaccination, epidemic control and prevention by providing more funds, investing
in infrastructure and human resources, creating a state of combat readiness
against the epidemic.
