US$5 million supported Dong Nai for LIFSAP project

According to Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, after several appraisal stages, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development officially chose Dong Nai to conduct live-stock industry and food safety competition ability advance project ( LIFSAP)

Dong Nai has the highest percentage of breeding in the nation ( 62%)

 

This project will be conducted in 5 communes of 3 districts: Thong Nhat, Đinh Quan and Xuan Loc. Total project expenditure is US$5 million in which US$500 thousand is taken from province capital. It has been known that those who directly take part in this project are central breeding households aiming at making an integration from breeding farms to consumers. This project includes breeding infrastructure investment, animal feeds, breeds, competitive capacity in production, veterinary hygiene guarantee, animal diseases control and construction of  slaughter property system. Dong Nai, Thai Binh, Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi have been chosen to conduct the project for 5 years (2009-2013). The total investment is US$75 million, in which US$65 million is borrowed from World Bank.
