60 farms across the province obtain the biological safety certificate

According to Veterinary Department, there are now 60 farms in the province that manage to get the biological safety certificate. 12 farms out of them receive the safety of foot and mouth disease and cholera; the remaining 48 units of chicken husbandry are claimed to get the safety of bird flu and Newcastle epidemics.

 

More 30 farms are proposed to obtain the certificates from now to the end of this year

  

More 30 farms are proposed to be accredited with biological safety credits from now to the end of this year. As known, after the epidemic breakout in 2010, total number of pigs in the province is around 1.1 million heads and 9 million heads of poultry.
