Youth activities need to be suitable for real situation of each locality

With the theme “Youth work”, youth Union work and movements in the provinces of the Southeast region have clearly shown the role of the Youth Union in socio-economic development at localities. However, these activities still have had some shortcomings such as: the residential areas remain low percentage of gathering young people and the thoughts of Youth Union's members have not been mastered timely.

Addressing the conference, Secretary Phan Van Mai assessed that the youth Union work and movements in the provinces of the Southeast region during the past time were conducted in an effective and creative manner. He also noted that the year 2011 which marks the 80th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union would be the year for the youth to actively make plans, boosting youth movements and propaganda activities and establishing a stronger relationship among the provinces, especially the youth activities must be closely connected with the real situation of each locality.
