Signing cooperation agreements to ensure traffic safety

Accordingly, the cooperation agreements included the task of directing and managing specialized units and transport enterprises; coordinating with police forces to ensure traffic safety; reducing traffic congestion, checking and handling traffic violation cases; regularly monitoring the travel situation of workers and local residents on Tet holiday. At this ceremony, the list of members of the Steering Committee for traffic safety was publicized including Nguyen Van Diep, Director of Traffic and Transportation Department cum Head of this Committee (Tel: 0913.850.133); and Dang The Trung, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department (Tel: 0913.851.739). This Steering Committee is aimed to ensure the traffic safety and order during the Lunar New Year 2011, minimizing traffic congestion and accidents, enhancing the quality of transport service; and better serving the travel demand of local residents, workers and students on Tet holiday, especially during peak hours from January 23 to February 18, 2011.
