In its previous term, Bien Hoa Municipal Red Cross focused on strengthening organization and developing organization and membership.
Bien Hoa has 661 Red Cross branches including 341 new ones compared with the previous term.
Humanitarian campaigns hit over VND38 billion (or US$1.84 million) and provide 16,500 work days, up 380 percent compared with the resolution at the 6th Congress.
The Association’s highlighted features are social relief activities with a total value of nearly VND28 billion (or US$1.36 million), especially the effective implementation of the “Each organization and each individual is associated with a humanitarian address” campaign.
More than two hundred organizations and individuals pledged to give VND1 billion (or US$48,590.9) in donations to 215 needy people.
In addition, levels of the Association have successfully implemented such movements as giving donations to flood victims, forming Red Cross burial teams, paying visits to families making contributions to the revolution, and giving care to Agent Orange victims.
In its previous term, at all times levels of the Association take interest in people's health care as follows:
- 112 Red Cross first-aid and emergency stations have been established, and given first aid to more than 2,000 people.
- Oriental and Southern medicine societies have given medical examination and 130,000 free-of-charge doses worth VND3.5 billion (or US$170,068) to 180,000 patients, cooperated with medical service providers in giving medical examination and free-of-charge medicine to people, and called for more than 5,000 people to take part in voluntary blood donation campaigns.

In the coming term, Bien Hoa Municipal Red Cross will continue enhancing humanitarian work, people’s health care, preservation and development of help-each-other movements, and cooperation with all levels of authorities and agencies, local humanitarian work.
The Congress elected 29 comrades into the new executive committee.
Particularly, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son is elected as the chairperson of the Association.
