When coming into operation, the conservation area will increase the people’s living standard

According to the project, the conservation area is planned on an area of 100,303 hectares with a total investment worth more than 266 billion dongs. The conservation area will be developed in the way of managing, protecting and using the forest resources sustainably so that the forest cover can increase by more than 90 percent by 2020, helping improve the living standard via development of ecological tourism and culture. The conservation area was established in 2004 and now is one of the biggest area of this kind in eastern provinces of the South.

Addressing the meeting, Mot confirmed forest, along with industrial development process, is an important factor in the living environment so the conservation area plays a meaningful role in both natural and humanity values. Therefore, Mot said the master plan should identify a clear roadmap, phase by phase and that during the implementation it was essential to think about the collaboration with the concerned locality to move those who are living in the conservation area’s buffer zone.
