The report on the review of the building of healthy wards and communes by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Welfares showed that in the last five years, over 1,100 drug-addicted and prostitution subjects have been assisted with vocational training; 431 subjects provided with jobs and 196 subjects given loans for community reintegration, totally valued at VND 729 million

Nguyen Van Hai, Director of the Bureau for Anti-social Vices gives his opinions at the seminar talking about the building of healthy wards and communes

In addition, subjects succeeding in turning over a new leaf but currently leading a difficult life were supported from their neighbors, who were called for giving a hand by the local authorities and unions, to have their houses built, find jobs and make their living. Thereby, these people have managed to regain confidence, and gradually assert themselves to reintegrate into the community and society.
