Health checkup for the elderly

    The Red Cross and its affiliates have raised VND194 billion for charity activities for six years in which VND144 billion is used for humanitarian activities, including gifting ethnics people in Kontum province (6,700 gifts, 22 computers, 270 bikes, etc.), free checkups and medicine issuance to the poor and agent orange victims, regular (or unscheduled) relief to 602,354 people, building 1,777 houses of compassion, taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs and families under the state’s preferential policy treatment, funding the disabled to purchase wheelchairs, and so on. It also determines its specific tasks till the end of the term (2011). Accordingly, it will strike for achieving a three percent and more increase annually in humanitarian value.
