Dong Nai Province mobilized nearly 4 billion VND for gratitude fund

At present, the Department of War Invalids and Martyrs (DWI&M) is managing 43.457 social policy benefiting people and people who made active contribution to the Revolution. In 2007, on the war invalids’ and martyrs’ day, the province gave gift to 15.732 people with the total expense of 4 billion VND. Education subsidies were granted to 3.722 children, with the expense of more than 4 billion VND. Health insurance was bought for 10.498 people who made the contribution and were in difficult situations and 476 people who were infected with toxic chemicals. 14 houses of gratitude were built for social policy benefiting people, and nearly 200 houses of benevolence were repaired.

From now to July 27, sectors and branches in the province are going to have a meeting to summarize the work “paying debts of gratitude” and organize a conference to praise typical war invalids and martyrs’ families for the fifth time in the province. Procedures for obtaining and implementing projects for upgrading the martyrs’ cemetery in the 2^nd phase, Long Khanh District cemetery and Vinh Cuu district cemetery will continue to be fully done. Projects for constructing “temple to martyrs” of Cam My and Thong Nhat districts will have completed.
