Tan Phu District needs to accelerate the progress of transportation and water supply projects

The People's Committee of Tan Phu District stated that the basic construction investment work and the disbursement progress of public investment funds in the district reached nearly 63 billion VND by the end of the first quarter of 2024, achieving 17.7% of the assigned plan. (News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the morning of March 19th, a working delegation led by Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked in Tan Phu District to discuss the socio-economic development, national defense, and security situation in the first quarter of 2024, as well as the direction of tasks for the upcoming months of 2024.

During the working session, the leaders of Tan Phu District People's Committee proposed and recommended several issues, including considering the inclusion of Phu Binh Industrial Cluster in the development plan for industrial clusters from 2021 to 2030, and inviting investment into this industrial cluster. They also requested support for the development of social housing and workers' housing in Tan Phu Industrial Zone, maintenance and repair of the 30-4 road (Phu Binh commune), concentrated water supply projects within the district, the central park project in Tan Phu town, financial support for flood control in Phu Lam commune, and recommendations for tourism development in the locality. Furthermore, they suggested adjusting the plan for the parallel road project of National Highway 20...

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Tan Phu District needs to make efforts to accomplish key tasks in 2024, implement policies regarding promotion of industry and agriculture, and promote agricultural production linkage. They should regularly monitor weather conditions to timely prevent agricultural pests and diseases, prevent animal diseases, and prevent forest fires. In addition, the district needs to continue sustainable development, enhance the promotion of the local tourism sector, and ensure traffic safety and order...

The leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment responded to some opinions and proposals from Tan Phu District. 

The provincial leaders also requested the local authorities to concentrate on disbursing public investment funds and accelerate the progress of projects within the district, especially infrastructure and water supply projects in remote areas. In 2024, the district should focus on ensuring capacity to carry out compensation and site clearance tasks, especially for projects funded by the state budget. The district should also prepare human resources and implement major projects passing through the area, such as the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project and the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project, with particular attention to the resettlement of local residents.

Regarding the recommendations from the local authorities, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, assigned the relevant departments and agencies to coordinate with the district's People's Committee to review and propose appropriate implementation plans and solutions to overcome difficulties in accordance with regulations and procedures.
