On December 12th, the deputy chairwomen of the provincial people’s committee Mrs. Phan Thi My Thanh welcomed an investigation group of Nikkan Kogyo newspaper (Japan). The leader, Mr. Harumitsu Takahashi, vice director of the international development department and Japanese construction companies visited and worked in Dong Nai.
Mr. Harumitsu Takahashi said that the aim of Japan’s investigation in Dong Nai this time is to search for investment opportunity in form of PPP (private-public partnerships which allows private sector to participate in investing services or public works of the state).
At the working time, representatives of departments, sectors of Dong Nai introduced to the group with the provincial economic potential and traffic infrastructure that the province is attracting the investment such as central road of Bien Hoa city, side-road along Cai River (Bien Hoa city); construction project of road adjacent to port (Nhon Trach district)
Mr. Harumitsu Takahashi and members of the group highly considered the investment opportunity for Japan in form of PPP in Dong Nai and expected to be provided with adequate information on the status of economy, preferential policies, especially projects that the province is calling for the investment. Basing on the invested information, the group will recommend Japanese investors to come to Dong Nai in order to accelerate the partnership between Japan and Dong Nai.
The vice chairwomen of the provincial people’s committee Mrs. Phan Thi My Thanh said Japan ranked the third among the countries and areas investing in Dong Nai. Currently the province highly concentrates on attracting investment for its infrastructure, especially about traffic infrastructure and it will create favorable conditions to attract investors.
In the afternoon of the same day, the group came to see the project of Long Thanh international airport and Long Duc industrial park.
