Recently, in Dinh Quan District,the Standing Committee of Provincial Youth Union, Natural Resources and Environment Department and People’s Committee of the district have co-organized summer youth volunteer campaign responding to World Environment Day (the fifth of June) .
With the motto "Each young person each voluntary activity, each youth union foundation each project, each practical part of the contribution to new rural areas" , the campaign activities of youth volunteers this summer will contribute to new rural development, environmental protection, natural disaster or infection. In particular, each youth union foundation takes the initiative in building and repairing of rural roads, canal systems and organizing career and employment consultancy activities, assisting young people in increasing the family income, innovating plants, animals, science and technology structure; repairing and renewing houses whilst removing temporary ones and planting trees, protecting the environment, and participating in ensuring traffic safety and order. Medical examination and free medicine is given to citizens in Phu Vinh
Right after the launching ceremony, Youth Union members participated in cleaning the environment and garbage, clearing drains and sewage systems, doing medical examination, giving medicines and public health advice, diseases prevention for adolescents and people at Phu Vinh commune medical stations and organizing free haircut service, propagating the awareness of environment, forest and biodiversity protection.
