(News Portal – Dong Nai) – On March 22nd, a delegation from the Party Committee of Dong Nai Province, led by Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh, visited and worked with the Provincial Party Committee of Khanh Hoa. The delegation included comrades from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Attending the meeting and working with the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Hai Ninh, Party Central Committee member and Party Secretary of Khanh Hoa province; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province; Ha Quoc Tri, Deputy Party Secretary and Head of the Khanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Van Mung, Party Central Committee alternate member and Party Secretary of Nha Trang City, as well as other comrades from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Khanh Hoa.
The delegation from the Provincial Party Committee of Dong Nai visited and worked with the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee of Khanh Hoa to exchange experiences in party building, building the political system, and leading and directing socio-economic development.
During the meeting, Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh shared with the leaders of Khanh Hoa province that in 2023, Dong Nai province's state budget revenue reached over 58.1 trillion VND, achieving 94% of the year's initial estimate. The province continues to surpass its targets in building new rural areas. Currently, there are 105 upgraded new rural communes and 27 model new rural communes throughout the province, ranking second nationwide in the number of upgraded and model new rural communes.
The Party Secretary also shared that Dong Nai province is home to many national key projects, especially the Long Thanh International Airport, which is considered the "national gateway." With an estimated area of 5,000 hectares and a capacity of over 100 million passengers, the project, which commenced on January 5th, 2021, with an investment capital of 16 billion USD, is expected to be operational in 2025. In addition to the Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai is also the gateway to the Southeastern provinces, with many cross-provincial expressways and numerous industrial zones that have already been established, making a significant contribution to the local economic development.

Through the working session, Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh expressed the hope that in the future, the two provinces will further strengthen their bond and exchange experiences to support each other's development. During the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan provided an overview of the economic and social development achievements, party building, and the political system for the year 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. In 2023, the province achieved remarkable results in economic development (state budget revenue reached 18,012 billion VND; Khanh Hoa's GRDP increased by 10.35%, ranking fourth nationwide and first in the North Central and Central Coast region). Party organization and construction work was implemented seriously and comprehensively in all areas, achieving positive initial results and meeting the targets and tasks set out in the resolutions of the 18th Provincial Party Congress.
According to Chairman Nguyen Tan Tuan, the province's strengths lie in tourism and the maritime economy. However, industrial development and foreign investment attraction are still limited and do not correspond to the province's potential. Currently, the province is focusing on attracting investment, developing high-tech industries, and restructuring the tourism-driven economy. Khanh Hoa province hopes to exchange and learn from the experiences of Dong Nai province, especially in investment attraction and industrial development.

The delegation from the Provincial Party Committee of Dong Nai took the opportunity to visit the Gac Ma Fallen Soldiers Memorial. The memorial is built on an area of over 25,000 square meters, located in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province, on the eastern side of Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard. It serves as a tribute to the 64 Vietnamese naval soldiers who bravely sacrificed their lives on March 14th, 1988, to protect the sacred sovereignty of our homeland's islands and seas.
