Efforts to build a green, civilized, safe, and modern Long Khanh city

(News Portal – Dong Nai) - Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Khanh City, Do Chanh Quang, stated that in a recent conference discussing green growth in the city, many opinions were shared, proposing solutions to implement the Party Resolution of the city from 2020 to 2025.

The direction of building Long Khanh City is defined as developing it into a "Green - civilized - safe - modern" city and becoming the nucleus urban area of the Southeastern Economic Region of Dong Nai province. The 4th Party Congress Resolution clearly states: "By 2025, Long Khanh will achieve the basic criteria of a type II urban area."

The city currently has two industrial parks, Long Khanh and Suoi Tre, which have been operational. Investment and construction have been completed for technical infrastructure systems, attracting 75 lease contracts with 63 investors. Recently, the city has implemented measures to develop green industries within its territory. Encouragement is given to businesses to efficiently use energy sources, support and create conditions for the development of new and renewable energy.

The discussions focused on various topics, such as raising the Vietgap standard to GlobalGap for the entire Long Khanh cultivation area and connecting B2B and B2C export (80%) and domestic sales (20%). Technology transfer to Long Khanh and compliance with the necessary conditions as regulated. Implementation of carbon emission reduction and oxygen growth programs to enhance the quality of the living space, mobilize investment resources, promote innovation and economic development in the locality.

Mr. Do Chanh Quang believes that the exchanged opinions of delegates and attending experts are valuable lessons and experiences, providing a basis for the city to further improve the implementation and specific tasks. Therefore, in collaboration with the business community, they will act promptly, enhance the strength of public-private cooperation to help the city develop a circular economy, aiming for sustainable and green development. ​​
