Representatives from the Project Management Board of Electricity, PetroVietnam Power Corporation reported that the construction progress of the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 thermal power projects has achieved over 72% completion compared to the signed contract, essentially meeting the set schedule. However, the project is facing some challenges that need to be resolved.

The investor requested the province to direct relevant units to complete the procedures for the land lease of approximately 37 hectares remaining for the project. At the same time, the project has not yet been decided on the second land lease, which affects the progress of signing the capital arrangement and disbursement contracts for the project. Therefore, this task needs to be completed by April 2024. In addition, the unit is also facing difficulties regarding the infrastructure usage fee in the Ong Keo Industrial Zone with TIN Nghia Corporation. To serve the project, the units need to expedite the progress of land clearance for related transmission line projects, ensuring the progress of power supply testing and capacity release for the power plant during commercial operation.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the relevant departments and localities, based on the investor's proposals, to review the difficulties and obstacles and accelerate the implementation progress. During the project construction, the Industrial Zone is requested to facilitate the investor and contractors. Moreover, the investor must also notify the relevant units in advance to ensure close coordination and avoid any obstacles or conflicts.
