The Provincial People's Committee has given the guidance to the Agriculture and Rural Development sector to implement a number of policies to support people in the production and consumption of agricultural products, specifically: policy on encouraging the cooperation in the production and consumption of agricultural products. Under this policy, there have been 151 chains of linkages in production and consumption of agricultural products in Dong Nai have been established of which 93 linkages in the field of crop production with a total area of more than 6,651 hectares and more than 5,883 farmer households participated; 52 linkages in the livestock sector; 02 linkages in the fisheries sector and 04 linkages in the forestry sector.
The policies supporting the application of Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP). This policy has been guided, implemented and propagated by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and other sectors and localities through conferences, seminars, and training courses on technical procedures. Up to now, the province has more than 1,175 hectares of GAP certified plants; 14 aquaculture areas meeting VietGAP standards with an area of 408 ha and 80,786m3 of cage fish farming; 676 livestock facilities recognized meeting the requirements of disease prevention; 7 communes in the buffer zone and 11 communes are disease-free for Influenza and Newcastle disease, 05 wards are not hit by rabies; 286 farms and 04 livestock cooperative groups achieved VietGAHP certification.
Credit policy to support agricultural and rural development. The Government issued Decree No. 55/2015/ND-CP dated June 9, 2015 and amended by Decree No. 116/2018/ND-CP dated September 7, 2018 to support individuals and households residing in non-rural areas who participating in agricultural production and business activities could have a loan up to VND100 million, for those individuals and households residing in rural areas, could have a loan up to VND200 million for purposes of production and business in field of agriculture. The loan could be up to VND1 billion for cooperatives, farm owners operating in rural areas or agricultural production; loans without collateral under the affiliate model, etc.
Policies to support the development of mechanization, reduce losses in agriculture. Accumulated by December 30, 2020, there were 64 customers who were able to get loans with a total loan turnover of VND41,544 billion and a total supported interest of VND5.96 billion.
In addition to the above policies, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development together with other sectors have supported enterprises, cooperatives, agricultural production and business households in the area through many forms such as: One commune, one product (OCOP); supporting trade promotion, connecting consumption of agricultural products to supermarkets of BigC, Lotte, VinMart, Dau Giay market and agricultural fairs and exhibitions.
