At a recent meeting with departments, sectors and localities on the situation of e-commerce development in Dong Nai province, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang asked the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with other departments, sectors, and relevant localities continue to perform tasks in the province's e-commerce development plan for 2021 and the period 2021-2025.

In which, it is necessary to maintain the province's e-commerce ranking index; having a plan to launch Dong Nai E-Commerce Exchange in an appropriate and flexible way, especially in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, which still has many uncertainties; strengthen and improve the effectiveness of propaganda for this e-commerce exchange.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai's E-Commerce index in 2020 ranks fifth nationwide. However, in terms of scale, nature, quantity and quality of e-commerce development, Dong Nai is still less developed than Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. In the past year, the Department has registered a project to send to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and receive funding support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the construction of a new E-Commerce Exchange of Dong Nai Province (/en/Shared Documents/24682_). At present, this E-Commerce Exchange has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for its operation.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang also asked the Department of Industry and Trade to actively coordinate with the Provincial Statistics Office to conduct surveys of related indicators on E-Commerce development in the province annually. Based on the databases, the Department assesses the current situation, develops strategies, programs and plans on local E-Commerce development in a synchronous and effective manner.
