Cam My District has a large land for perennial crops.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the land planning target for the 2016-2020 period approved by the Government, by 2020, the province's land area for perennial crops will be 194,746ha. However, the province's land area for perennial crops by the end of 2020 is 217,802 hectares, higher than the planned target of over 23,000 hectares. The reason why the province's land area for perennial crops is still large is that many non-agricultural works and projects needed to use land for perennial crops but have not yet been implemented. At the same time, many areas of land for single-crop rice have unfavorable irrigation conditions, so households and individuals have turned to perennial crops to bring about the higher economic efficiency.

Currently, many households and individuals have switched from one-crop rice land to perennial crops, earning 5-8 times higher than growing rice.
