Strengthening management on animal feed quality

​TTDT - According to a report of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the situation of the livestock industry has many difficulties due to the price of livestock products such as pigs and chickens sold below the production cost. In particular, there is a reason that from 2022 to now, the price of animal feed has increased higher than before.​​

The agricultural sector strengthens the inspection and quality control of animal feed at production and trading establishments of this product in the province. Results of the inspection at 32 animal and aqua feed production and trading establishments in the province taking place at the end of December 2022: 100% of establishments have well performed business registration, ensuring fully comply with regulations on production and trading conditions of animal and aqua feeds. Violations of quality, test results of 39 samples of animal feed at production and trading establishments, 7 samples of animal and aqua feed had substandard content criteria according to standard public records, accounting for nearly 18% of the total number of tested samples. Other cases of violations include: 2 establishments failed to properly and fully writing down the required contents on product packaging labels as prescribed; 1 production facility had products that have not been announced…There were violations of the use of banned substances have been detected.

The total amount of fines for administrative violations of the violating establishments was over 161.4 million VND.​
