From April 16, a number of livestock companies in the province have increased the price of live pigs by 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Accordingly, after deducting the discount, the price of live pigs sold to traders ranges from 53-55 thousand VND/kg depending on the type of pig.

The source of live pigs is quite abundant to supply to the market. Currently, the demand for live pigs in the market is almost unchanged. Specifically, the amount of live pigs in the province supplied to the Ho Chi Minh City market remained stable with a slight decrease in days compared to the previous week. The price of live pigs has increased slightly but farmers still have not escaped difficulties because the price of live pigs bought by traders from small farms and households is still stable at 50-52 thousand VND per kilogram, lower than the production cost.
