Removing difficulties for production and business

TTDT - On April 18, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien chaired an online conference of the local Industry and Trade sector in the first quarter of 2023. At Dong Nai endpoint was Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, representatives of departments, branches and business associations.

The global economic slowdown faster than expected has affected the industry and trade. Industrial production and import-export in the first quarter of 2023 of the whole country decreased compared to the same period last year (industrial production index decreased by 2.2%; export turnover decreased by 11.9%; import turnover of goods decreased by 14.7%)… For Dong Nai, the situation was similar when exports decreased, some industries such as apparel, furniture, wood, and electronics were strongly affected. Large enterprises had to have plans to rearrange labors to ensure production and business activities.

At the conference, leaders of some localities as well as leading economic and management units discussed and proposed some solutions to remove difficulties and promote production and business such as electricity, solar power attic, planning issues; trade promotion, looking for orders beside key partners.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien suggested localities closely followed the production situation of industries and fields. The Ministry would organize working with a number of key industrial localities to promptly grasp and remove difficulties to promote production development. Connecting domestic enterprises to participate in the supply chains of FDI enterprises and large global enterprises, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to recover and develop production.
