Connecting investment, trade and tourism cooperation between Vietnam, Laos and Thailand

​TTDT - At the invitation of the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Pakse, Lao PDR, Vice Standing Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son and members of the delegation of Dong Nai province attended the Forum to promote networking Vietnam - Laos - Thailand investment, trade and tourism cooperation.

This was a program organized by the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Pakse in collaboration with the Champasak Provincial Government and the E-commerce Association (Vecom) from 9 to 10 April in Champasak province.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Consul General Nguyen Van Trung said that the Forum was an opportunity to promote cooperation in the development of the East-West Economic Corridor; strengthen the relation connection among localities of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Thailand in depth and effectiveness through promoting activities of connection, cooperation, advertisement of trade and investment among localities of Vietnam with 4 Southern provinces of Laos and the North-Eastern provinces of Thailand, focusing in the fields of trade and tourism.

At the Forum, Vice Standing Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son informed the province's socio-economic situation of the province, the attracting foreign investment capital in Dong Nai province. Dong Nai is one of the leading industrial development provinces of Vietnam. Currently, Dong Nai province has 45 countries and territories investing in investment activities with a total of 1,567 projects with a total registered capital of 33.50 billion USD. Some fields and orientations to attract investment of the province now include projects in the fields of industrial production, agriculture, social housing and resettlement housing, education, health care, culture, sport…

Dong Nai province has special incentives for supporting industries and incentives for hi-tech enterprises and hi-tech application enterprises. With the mottos "Government accompanies with Enterprises", Dong Nai province is always ready to welcome, create favorable conditions and promptly handle problems for investors and businesses to invest and operate production and business in Dong Nai.

Regarding friendly cooperation, Dong Nai province up to now has established and signed 37 MOUs and Agreements on international cooperation at the provincial level for the first time and re-signed 13 Agreements on international cooperation at provincial level with localities and foreign partners in 12 countries and territories around the world. Dong Nai province always pays attention to, expands and effectively implements friendly and economic cooperation relations with foreign regions and localities, especially with partners with traditional friendship relations like: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, etc. At the same time, Dong Nai province has also established Friendship Associations of Vietnam - Laos with 2,000 members; Vietnam - Thailand with more than 200 members and many exciting and rich activities of the Associations.

Through this Forum, Dong Nai province hopes to receive many opportunities to cooperate with localities of the four Southern provinces of Laos and the Northeast provinces of Thailand in the fields of trade and tourism.​
