Many Businesses invest in Affordable Housing Projects

​According to the Department of Construction, affordable housing demand in Dong Nai is huge, especially where industrial areas are developed and a large numbers of migrants. Profits from implementing affordable housing projects are not high, but this is a potential market where demand is always greater than supply, therefore, investment businesses will easy to sell their products.

  *Commencement of major projects

It is expected that in 2020, Dong Nai will commence about 5 major affordable housing projects in Bien Hoa City, Long Khanh City, Nhon Trach and Long Thanh Districts. In which, 3 projects have got investors and 2 projects are in the bidding process to select project-executing enterprises.

The land areas for which the affordable housing project is located are already available and have been processed, therefore, investors are quite favorable in implementing the project. In which: Housing project for workers in Hiep Phuoc Town, Phuoc Thien Commune (Nhon Trach District) with a scale of nearly 2 thousand cells, total investment of about VND 1,387 billion. Social housing project in Quang Vinh Ward (Bien Hoa city) will be completed about 2 years and put into operation. This apartment is designed with 22 floors and 435 apartments. Social housing project in Bao Vinh Ward (Long Khanh city) with scale of 1,054 cells.

Social housing in Tam Hoa Ward (Bien Hoa City) will be completed in October 2020.

Currently, Bien Hoa City, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Trang Bom districts have a large demand for affordable housing for low-income households. The provincial People's Committee has planned more than 200 hectares of land to call for investment in social housing, but the participating businesses are few. Therefore, social housing in some localities in the province has not enough to meet demand, hence annually, the provincial People's Council must issue a Resolution on the number of AHs to be completed in each year.

*Many apartments has been completed

According to Deputy Director of Department of Construction - Mr. Le Manh Dung, said that: At present, the province is calling qualified enterprises to participate in bidding for 2 big social housing projects in Long Thanh district and Bien Hoa city with total capital of VND 2,959 billion. In particular, the AH project in Long Binh Tan Ward (Bien Hoa City) has a scale of more than 1.4 hectares, total investment of about VND 1,415 billion, and will be built into a 20-storey apartment block. The second project is 5 hectares, adjacent to the residential area of Loc An commune (Long Thanh district), designed with 10-storey apartment blocks to meet the housing of 6,000 people. The investment capital of this AH project is VND 1,544 billion.
