Provincial Planning for the period of 2021-2030, vision towards 2050

According to the goal, the plan is an important scientific basis and legal tool for provincial authorities at all levels to use in policy making and development motivation; organization of socio-economic development space to ensure a synchronous connection between national planning and regional and provincial planning; maximizing the potential and advantages of the province for fast and sustainable socio-economic development. The provincial planning provides orientations, tasks and solutions to accelerate development breakthroughs; while eliminating the overlapping planning, hindering development investment in the area; ensure transparency and fairness in mobilizing, approaching as well as maximizing resources in socio-economic-environmental development investment activities.​

The main contents of the planning include: analysis, evaluation and forecast of development factors and conditions of Dong Nai; assessment of socio-economic development status, current land use status, urban and rural system status of the province; views and objectives to choose development plans; choice of socio-economic activity plan; planning of organizing urban and rural systems and developing infrastructure; allocation and zoning of land according to functional areas and by land type to each district administrative unit.​

 This planning plan has an inter-district and district area construction; directions for environmental protection, nature conservation and biodiversity in the province; plans on protection, exploitation and use of natural resources; exploitation, use and protection of water resources, prevention, control and overcoming of harmful effects caused by water; prevention of natural disasters, epidemics and response to climate change; construction of the project portfolio of the province in order of priority; solutions on resources to implement the planning; development orientation of some key areas.​

After listening to the Department of Planning and Investment report on planning outline and departments, branches and localities gave comments, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested the drafting unit to consider more cultural development issues so that Dong Nai aims to build a province with its own cultural identity; calculate new rural construction model; develop energy in the direction of green and clean. The provincial leaders also directed departments and sectors to take initiative in working to keep pace and be proactive.
