Export growth slows down

​According to Dong Nai Statistics Department, in July, the prices of raw materials for production are still at a high level, and the export of goods still faces many difficulties due to high transportation costs.​

Businesses are still trying to stabilize production and maintain the provision of orders. Due to difficulties, the trend of June and July export turnover slowed down, orders decreased, and the volume of some export items decreased.

Estimated export turnover in July in the province reached more than US$2.2 billion, up 2.5% compared to the previous month, accumulated in 7 months, export turnover was estimated at more than US$15.1 billion. In which: the state economy reached US$298.6 million, down 8.16%; non-state economy reached US$3 billion, up 16.77%; FDI economy reached more than US$11.8 billion, up 10.3% over the same period.

​The export items that increased in 7 months were coffee; textiles; footwear; machinery and equipment and spare parts; plastic products; products from iron and steel, etc. In addition, a number of products that decreased significantly over the same period were cashew nuts; rubber; computers, electronic products and components.
