Over the years, the Southeast localities, including Dong Nai, have promoted innovative start-up activities with many movements, contests, networking activities, consulting on startups, etc.

As a locality with great potential for economic development and business creation, Dong Nai is developing a plan to support the innovative startup ecosystem in the province by 2025. The goal of this program is to promote the formation and support the process of formation and development of fast-growing enterprises based on exploitation of intellectual property, technology, new business models, focusing on potential industries and strength in the economic and social development of the province. Creating favorable conditions for idea formation, realization and commercialization of ideas and projects through contests of innovative startup ideas, supporting innovation start-up organizations. Strengthening links in the startup ecosystem, startup communities, connecting investors, investment funds.

The Department of Science and Technology was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee the task of presiding over the development of Dong Nai's innovation startup ecosystem. Mr. Lai The Thong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology said that over the years, Dong Nai has made efforts to connect startup elements. From connecting resources in the region to connecting people with each other, and at the same time linking between the state, schools, and businesses to form innovation start-up centers. The Department of Science and Technology is currently coordinating with universities and colleges to build incubators and incubators for start-up projects at schools.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Van, Vice Chairman of the Southern National Entrepreneurship Advisory Council said that over the past time, consulting and connecting activities on innovation career guidance have been conducted in the Southeast provinces and cities, including Dong Nai have been quite lively. Many activities have been resumed after being interrupted by the Covid-19 epidemic. In which, many consulting activities on innovation start-up, start-up consulting, business integrity, etc. have been implemented. Besides, contests on start-up innovation, start-up day of innovation (Techfest), etc. are also implemented by localities in the region. These are the premise to develop and expand the network of innovation ecosystems, giving students and young businesses the conditions to cultivate and develop skills in business, administration, and starting a business.

In order to spread the startup activities and create high effects, in addition to startup connection programs in each locality, start-up activities should be linked with other localities, strengthening regional connections to create more motivation for joint development, upholding the strengths of localities.

Mr. Lai The Thong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology added that in the coming time, Dong Nai wants to learn from good experiences from neighboring localities and across the country and continue to promote the development of the start-up ecosystem in the province, and at the same time attract the participation of the best startups, investors, experts in Vietnam as well as in the world.

Mr. Le Bach Long, Chairman of Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association said along with production and business emulation, the Association has integrated startup support programs, admitted new businesses and entrepreneurs to the Association to exchange, share experiences, and develop the cooperation. In the coming time, the Association will promote activities of association and cooperation between members in the province and members of other provinces and cities in the region and the whole country; Trade promotion exchanges with the Young Entrepreneurs Association of the provinces, with the Southern Business Association, thereby helping members, especially start-up businesses, have opportunities to promote their brands and expand their connections, business cooperation inside and outside the province.
