On July 28, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee and other departments and sectors had a meeting with Mayor of Rotterdam City, Netherlands Mr. Ahmed Aboutaleb at Vopak Vietnam Co., Ltd (Ong Keo Industrial Zone, Nhon Trach District).
Attendants the meeting were Mr. Christoph Prommersberger - Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam; Mr. Daniel Stork – Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ho Chi Minh City and leader of Vopak Vietnam Company.

The meeting aimed to discuss, provide information and exchange experiences to strengthen cooperation between Rotterdam City, the Netherlands and Dong Nai Province in the fields of seaport development and logistics services; trade and investment promotion; Climate Change; and education.
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee gave an overview of the province's socio-economic situation. There are 14 Dutch projects in the province with a total registered capital of more than US$848.9 million. Regarding export and import turnover with the Dutch market, Dong Nai accounts for about 6-7% of the total export turnover of the country. Main export products are textiles, footwear, wood products, coffee, rubber, cashew nuts, etc. The key imported items are machinery and equipment, plastic materials, iron and steel of all kinds, fabrics chemicals, animal feed, etc.
Dong Nai Province is also willing to exchange and cooperate with the Netherlands in the field of seaport development and logistics services. Currently, Dong Nai Province has had 3 clusters of ports.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee expressed her wish to further strengthen the cooperation in economic development and cultural exchange between Dong Nai Province and the Embassy and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in general and other Dutch partners in particular. The Dong Nai provincial government always encourages and creates favorable conditions for Dutch businesses to make investment in the province.
The delegation also had a chance to listen to Mr. Jasper Jansen - Director of Vopak Vietnam Co., Ltd. to introduce the company's history, production and business activities in Dong Nai as well as with major partners around the world, visit the wharf operation area of Vopak Vietnam Co., Ltd.
