Jeollanam Province, Korea wishes to cooperate in all fields with Dong Nai Province

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee informed the delegation about the socio-economic situation, and the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Dong Nai Province. Currently, in Dong Nai Province, there have been 44 countries and territories having investors doing business with more than 1,500 projects and a total registered capital of US$32.44 billion; including 426 Korean projects with a total investment of more than US$7.07 billion, ranked the first nationwide in the number of projects and total FDI in the province.

Regarding international cooperation: Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has established and signed 9 Memorandums of Understanding and agreements on international cooperation at the provincial level and 17 Memorandum of Understanding and agreements on international cooperation at departmental and sectoral levels signed with localities and partners of Korea.

According to the leader of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2016, the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association in Dong Nai Province was established and now has 475 members. The Association has contributed to strengthening, consolidating, and developing the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples of Vietnam and Korea.

The newly appointed Chief Representative of the Representative Office of Jeollanam Province also expressed his desire to develop a comprehensive cooperation relationship and move to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in various fields between the two provinces of Dong Nai and Jeollanam in the near future.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that during the term of Chief Representative of the Representative Office of Jeollanam Province in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Ha Gwang Yun will be an active bridge to introduce more Korean businesses coming to Dong Nai Province to make investment as well as voluntary organizations come to operate in the province and support to promote the programs and plans expected of the two provinces to achieve practical the results.
