2017 will end in about 2 months. At present, enterprises in the province, especially export units, are speeding up their production.

While export turnover of the province was not as expected in 2016, it is quite impressive this year. It is forecasted that Dong Nai can export about 2.2 billion USD in 2017, the biggest amount ever and also the highest nationwide.

Speeding up

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan Hai, Director of Green Leaf Company Limited (Ho Nai Industrial Park) specialized in producing handicrafts for export to European and American markets ... said that at this time of the year, all labor force of the company is focusing on production to fulfill orders from foreign markets. The company's products are available in some supermarkets in the United States with the motto of cooperation with partners in the country. "A product design team from the US has just come to the company to give advice and support so that the company can increase productivity and product quality. Export products to the US market should meet strict design and quality standards. In addition to the US market, our goods are also exported to European and Middle Eastern countries. At the end of the year, we are able to ship 4 containers of commodity per month. This year it is expected that the export turnover of the company will reach more than US $ 1 million and the market for 2018 will also show good signs," Mr. Hai said.

Similarly, Mr. Vo Thanh Tuan, Director of An Phu Thinh Joint Stock Company (An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district) specialized in manufacturing protective clothing (clothes, gloves, footwear ...) said that his business has received many orders for 2018; particularly some Japanese partners have come to inquire and discuss the conditions to expand cooperation. "At this point, An Phu Thinh has reached 90% of production plan in 2017 and has received orders for next year. The company has increased its production capacity by 35% but we cannot meet the market demand. Due to the increase in outsourcing orders, the company is planning to expand its cooperation with garment enterprises," Mr. Tuan said.

Export flourishes

Unlike 2016 when exports did not meet the plan, in 2017 export growth rate is more optimistic. According to the Department of Industry and Trade, by the end of October 2017, the export turnover of the province reached more than $ 13.8 billion, up by 11% over the same period and Dong Nai province has a high excess of exports over imports with more than $ 1.7 billion.
