The exhibition took place from 18 to 21 November, at the Museum of Fine Arts of Vietnam, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi, which was directed by the Ministry of Information and Communications and held by Center for Journalism and International in cooperation with Chien Thang Joint Stock Company, OSSSO Trading and Service Co., Ltd in celebrating the success of the APEC Summit 2017.
The mosaic pictures are made based on the portraits of the leaders, which were carefully selected by the authors in terms of beautiful angles and natural expressiveness of each character. With colorful ceramic fragments, baked at high temperatures, talented craftsmen have used sophisticated techniques to cut pottery pieces into suitable pieces, accurately grafted them to each small detail, creating beautiful portraits ... The frame is designed politely with harmonious colors, honoring the beauty and the solemnity of each picture. After finishing, the pictures are highly evaluated by the functional agencies and professionals in terms of quality as well as fine art.
During the APEC Senior Ministerial Week 2017, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has used many of the pictures as a gift to some of the leaders of APEC economies. The rest will be sent through the embassies of countries and territories in Vietnam.
The organizers took photos of the pictures that the Prime Minister has gifted. Those photos and the remaining pictures will be displayed at the exhibition to introduce to the public a new type of ceramic mosaic pictures, a special characteristic of Bien Hoa pottery in Dong Nai.
After Hanoi capital, the exhibition will be held in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the success of the APEC 2017 and serve visitors and the public.
