Finnish enterprises wish to invest in Dong Nai

​On November 10th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh had a working session with Finnish business delegation led by Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economy and Labor Petri Peltonen to seek investment opportunities in Dong Nai.


​Mr. Peltonen said the delegation had 11 enterprises specialized in water treatment, environment and energy. With that strengths, they want to know more about the projects of the province that Finnish businesses can participate in. For the sake of cooperation, Mr. Peltonen said that the Finnish government also has a number of programs supporting Vietnam in these areas, through grants or preferential loans.

Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee Tran Van Vinh said Dong Nai is a dynamically developing industrial province with 31 industrial parks in operation and has the fifth largest population in the country with more than 2.7 million people. This poses an important task for Dong Nai to handle large amounts of waste water and garbage from industrial parks as well as residential areas, protect the environment and create green economy. The province also encourages projects of producing clean energy from waste. Therefore, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh welcomed Finnish businesses to study the investment environment in Dong Nai. He also emphasized that the provincial authorities always accompany, support and create favorable conditions for enterprises to operate their business most effectively.
 
Both parties agreed to establish an information channel to discuss the areas of cooperation more specifically in the coming time.
