In order to create a recreational space for the people to welcome the Lunar New Year 2018 as well as to celebrate the 320th anniversary of Bien Hoa - Dong Nai, Bien Hoa City is implementing the flower road Nguyen Van Tri with the theme: Bien Hoa City - 320 years of identity and development.

Compared with the first display in 2017, the work of Nguyen Van Tri flower display in 2018 will have more highlights.

Nguyen Van Tri flower display street is nearly 600m long, the starting point near Tan Lan temple and the ending point near Hoa An bridge. The implementation cost is over VND 6 billion, of which 40% comes from the State budget and 60% from social mobilization. This venue is scheduled to be open to the public from 10 February to 21 February 2018 (from 25 December to 6 January of the lunar calendar).
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bong, head of the Culture and Information Department of Bien Hoa City, this year flower street has six large central flower arrangement display clusters and 26 small clusters, doubling the number of the year 2017. There are unique decorative concepts such as wooden boat area with 5 flower boats, paddy fields, cakes, spring trains, ox carts, flower lights, military lights. In addition, the flower street has a display celebrating the 320th anniversary of Bien Hoa - Dong Nai, and of course the year of the dog.
It is expected that the mascot model this year is made of ceramic material and about 4m high. The flowers street also has yellow apricot and peach blossoms gardens which are decorated with artistic lights to create a highlight for night photography. The work of flower decoration and arrangement requires 40 thousand baskets of flowers with 30 species: Hydrangeas, lilies, orchids, daisies, marigolds...
This year, the Organizing Committee also coordinated with the Ornamental Creatures Association to organize a display area of unique and rare creatures for tourists. This year is also the first time mobile food service area is put into service at the flower market, aside from the dozens of snack and food shops of the people to help visitors have more options. For the first time, the organizers will provide free wifi connection during the opening hours of the flower street.
Encourage the participation of the people
Unlike in 2017 when the flower display area was completely located in the premise of Nguyen Van Tri park (on the river bank) while the other side of the street where the resident households are left undecorated, this year Bien Hoa City People's Committee will support 53 households along the residential side of the street with the amount of 2 million VND / household if the family decorate the front of their houses with flowers. According to the households living along the Nguyen Van Tri park (the flower display area), if supported by the State, each family will simultaneously perform decorations to contribute to the beauty of the flower street during the Lunar New Year holiday.

In addition, to create Tet atmosphere in the city, Bien Hoa City People's Committee held the 5th Green - Clean – Beautiful Road Competition 2018. In order to participate in the competition, the wards, communes, agencies, state offices and households will invest in decorating streets and houses during the Lunar New Year. The organizers will conduct award event to highly commend the beautiful works.
Aside from that, 4 routes including Ha Huy Giap, Hung Dao Vuong, April 30th, Nguyen Van Tri are also decorated with artistic lights. Compared with 2017, this year the flower-lighting art still plays the leading role, but there is more emphasis with the logo of Bien Hoa City, the flags of the Party and national flags on these streets. Particularly at the roundabouts of the city, such as Bien Hung, Tan Phong, Hoa An, Cau Hang, Dong Khoi ... there will be new lighting artistic system. The areas, routes where many agencies of the Party, the state are located will be decorated with small flowers and plants.
Tran Bien Temple of Literature is another free attraction with flower display in Bien Hoa City during the coming Lunar New Year holiday. According to Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Director of Tran Bien Temple, this year, Tran Bien Temple will be decorated with many flower displays at the areas of the Human Cultural Garden, Tran Bien Art Museum, Tran Bien Confectionery Museum serving visitors' needs for admiring flowers and taking photos. There are more than 100 thousand flower pots with sunflower field on this occasion. Spring activities at Tran Bien Temple of Literature officially open to visitors from February 12 to the end of February 21 (from December 27th to January 6th day of the lunar calendar).
