Major export markets include the United States, Japan, China and Korea. Industrial production index increased by nearly 8.6%, total retail sales of goods and services reached more than 150 trillion, up nearly 12.3%, exceeded the year plan.

Ms. Bui Thi Thanh An, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), said that in 2017, Dong Nai was among few provinces that ha high export surplus. Next year, the province should continue to focus on key products and strengthens the added value. Industrial and agricultural enterprises seek opportunities to participate in the supply chain of FDI enterprises to expand the consumption market.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh recommended that the Industry and Trade sector be the focal point for linking domestic enterprises with foreign enterprises to supply products for each other, reducing imports and increasing trade surplus; Strictly controlling the market, promptly detecting counterfeit goods, poor quality, not ensuring hygiene to protect enterprises and consumers.
In 2018, the Industry and Trade sector strives to increase the industrial production index by 8-8.5% compared to 2017, retail goods and services by 11-13%, and make sure that exports reaches 18.3-18, $ 5 billion.
