For the past two years, export turnover of steel products of enterprises in the province has increased sharply. In 2017, the export of this item reached nearly 930 million USD, an increase of 23% over the previous year, the highest growth rate among more than 50 items that have the largest export turnover in the province.
It is expected that in 2018 export turnover of this item will continue to achieve significant results and by that reach $ 1 billion.

Entering demanding markets
Dong Nai's steel products are exported to more than 50 countries and regions, including demanding markets where standards of high quality products are strictly high such as USA, Japan and Europe. These are the main export markets of steel manufacturing companies. Recently, some companies have made investment in steel production and product plants which are environmentally friendly with modern technology.
Mr. Nguyen Le Anh Tuan, General Director of ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company in Long Khanh Industrial Zone (Long Khanh town), said: "The company's products have been exported to 35 countries around the world. At present, ATAD has 6 representative offices in ASEAN and some other countries to promote trade and market expansion. On average, ATAD provides domestic export and markets with about 12,000 tons of steel structure, factory in Dong Nai alone provides 8,500 tons to the market per month. ATAD in Dong Nai is the first factory in Asia to receive the Leed Gold certification from the US Green Building Council. Therefore, the company's products have successfully entered the US, Japanese, European and Australian markets and many other countries.
According to the Authority of Dong Nai Industrial Parks, the province now attracts more than 50 foreign companies investing in steel production and steel products from many countries such as Korea, Japan, the Netherlands and Singapore ... In recent years, businesses in this field have increased their capital to expand their factories, invest in modern machinery to increase capacity to meet the demands from domestic and export markets. Specifically, Posco VST Co., Ltd in Nhon Trach Industrial Park 1 (Nhon Trach district, specializing in stainless steel) increased the capacity by 10% in 2017 to meet the large orders from overseas.
Other big exporters include: Assad Vietnam Steel Limited, Daiwa Kenlozai Viet Nam Limited Company (Amata Industrial Park), Seah Vietnam Steel Limited Company (Bien Hoa Industrial Zone2) , Hasung Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Loteco Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City), Penflex Vietnam Limited Liability Company in Ho Nai Industrial Zone (Trang Bom District).
Continue to expand production
Mr. Cao Tien Sy, Chairman of the Authority of Dong Nai Industrial Parks, said: "Most of the domestic and foreign companies investing in steel production and products have modern technology, so their export markets are numerous. In recent years, enterprises are making more and more investment in product research to meet large and demanding orders from overseas so the export turnover has increased significantly. This is the field that is attracting foreign and domestic investors as the world economy is recovering. The demand for steel and steel products for construction and production in Vietnam as well as in other countries is also increasing. Many domestic and foreign companies have increased their capital or made new investment.
Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Bich, Export Department Manager of Posco VST Co., Ltd, said: "Currently export of stainless steel products of the company to the country is enjoying so much convenience. In 2018, the company continues to increase its capacity to meet large orders from many countries. "
Last year, Seah Vietnam Steel Co., Ltd. invested US $ 38 million in constructing a factory in Nhon Trach Industrial Zone 6 (Nhon Trach District) specialized in manufacturing steel pipes for domestic consumption and export. All steel production and steel products companies said that in 2018 this the market of this item continues to expand, so businesses have plans to increase their capacity. Some of them have even received orders until the end of 2018.
