Maintain measures for epidemic prevention

At J-Spiral Steelpipe Co., Ltd, Bien Hoa City, so far, 100% of employees have returned to work with high capacity. In the past year, the company and the grassroots trade union have rewarded typical workers who take the lead in good epidemic prevention at enterprises. This year, in the spirit of continuing to restore and develop production and focus on epidemic prevention, businesses have promoted propaganda and employees are arranged to have lunch in groups to avoid large gatherings. The company also improves the quality of meals to ensure health and regenerate labor for workers.

Similarly, although it has returned to stable work and the number of employees infected with Covid-19 at enterprises has decreased compared to 2021, Minh Thanh Co., Ltd, Long Thanh District still strictly implements measures of epidemic prevention as before. This work is maintained daily and becomes a mandatory rule for workers to perform together, in order to ensure health when coming to the company to work.

Ms. Le Thi Lai, a worker of the company's product painting department, said that since the beginning of 2022, employees have still maintained epidemic prevention measures when coming to businesses to work. Accordingly, before entering the factory, workers must scan a QR code to declare health, measure their temperature and wash their hands with antiseptic. In addition, each employee is also provided with masks and gloves during work. The company stipulates that all employees must strictly follow the epidemic prevention process to improve work efficiency. Whoever violates the epidemic prevention regulations will be immediately punished. Therefore, the awareness of employees is increasingly enhanced," said Ms. Lai.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tho, Chairman of the Trade Union of Minh Thanh Co., Ltd. said that, having learned from previous epidemic prevention times, the spirit of disease prevention in the new situation has been strictly, scientifically and effectively implemented by businesses and employees. Thanks to that, up to now, employees work calmly, F0 cases among workers are reduced, the company still ensures to maintain production and jobs for workers with stable wages to improve their lives and overcome difficulties.

Raise awareness for workers

Implementing the direction of the province, over the past time, the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has actively coordinated with other departments and agencies to organize the inspection of the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic at enterprises. Through inspection, most units and enterprises have established a steering committee for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, developing plans to respond to the epidemic. Enterprises have arranged seats and working spaces with a well-ventilated density. Some businesses with canteens have hand wash basins and soaps, quick hand sanitizers, dining tables with separate trays and fixed partitions. Some businesses organize to pick up employees to ensure the number of people sitting on the bus according to regulations.

According to the provincial Trade Union levels, enterprises are now boosting production of orders in the new year, so they need a huge labor resource and proactive disease prevention is very important. In fact, over the past time, many businesses have been short of workers, affecting production lines due to the increase of F0 cases, having to quit work and isolate at home. In addition, difficult labor recruitment is also an obstacle for enterprises in the process of restoring production.

To ensure epidemic prevention under the direction of the province in the new situation, grassroots trade unions coordinate with employers to proactively develop optimal plans to respond in the event of an outbreak of disease in enterprises. Along with that, develop safety criteria for epidemic prevention and control at working areas and factories such as assigning appropriate shifts, dividing meal shifts with different schedules. At the same time, arrange vehicles, travel directions, material preparation, temporary quarantine locations as well as disinfecting and cleaning the environment.

Although the company organizes sampling and quick testing every week for me and other workers, getting vaccinated with the 3rd dose vaccine early will help employees ensure their health, thereby raising the spirit of disease prevention and control, together with businesses to fight against the disease."
