The Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposes that by 2025, the whole province will deploy 64 additional gathering points and waste transfer stations to serve the collection and classification of domestic waste.
Waste transfer point at Long Thanh District
Specifically, localities that have completed legal procedures (on planning, environment, construction) for waste collection points and transfer stations that need to be built according to planning include: Dinh Quan District has 11 points, the district has an document and the Provincial People's Committee issues a decision approving the investment plan; Cam My District has 2 points, approved the selection of construction contractors; 5 points in Tan Phu District, construction planning on the commune's public land area and in accordance with the land use planning; Long Khanh City has 1 point at Suoi Tre Ward and has written approval for construction.
The localities that have not completed the legal procedures include: Vinh Cuu District has 21 points; Long Thanh District has 8 points; Bien Hoa City has 7 points; Thong Nhat District has 4 points; Nhon Trach District has 3 points; Trang Bom District has 2 points. On the basis of the proposed location and size of the area, the districts will add gathering points and waste transfer stations to the land use planning for the period 2021-2025 and propose an implementation plan.
