With the characteristics of a strongly developing locality in industry with many foreign residents living and working, Dong Nai over the years has created millions of jobs for workers across the country. Currently, because many provinces and cities are also developing industrial parks, so the additional source of outside provincial labor for enterprises is increasingly scarce, while the number of local workers is small. This causes difficulties when enterprises want to expand their production scale and force them to find many ways to recruit workers, even sending people to mountainous and remote areas to "find people".

Along with the expansion of production scale, every year, enterprises in the province have the need to recruit tens of thousands of workers, however, the recruitment is very difficult. Partly because the additional labor source from the North and Central regions is not as much as before because these localities have also developed many industrial zones, so workers will stay in the locality, even though the salary is lower but being close to home, it is not to go a long way, especially during the holidays.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai has the advantage of being an industrially developed province and has many infrastructure and service projects, so its economic structure is diversified. Local youth have conditions to find service industries that bring higher incomes or they start their own businesses and build their own bases. Therefore, local workers, even simple workers, are no longer interested in labor-intensive industries such as textiles and garment, leather and footwear, so these factories is increasingly difficult to recruit people.
According to many businesses, in the long run, the labor shortage in Dong Nai will likely continue. With many added and newly added industrial zones covering an area of nearly 6.5 thousand hectares of land, the number of newly established enterprises and the demand for labor recruitment will increase. That is not to mention many enterprises, especially FDI enterprises in existing industrial zones are still continuing to expand their production scale. This requires the problem of balancing labor, creating human resources for the operation of enterprises in the future, which needs to be considered, including the role of orientation and arrangement from local authorities in addition to the efforts of each enterprise.
Expand the recruitment
Labor shortage continues every year, recruiting local workers is difficult, so Dong Nai Rubber Corporation is looking for labor sources from remote areas of the province and other provinces and cities to make up for the labor shortage. Just in 2020, 250 additional workers were recruited for the shortage force.
Similarly, many enterprises in Dong Nai's industrial zones to meet the expansion of production also send people to other localities to recruit. Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company sent people to remote areas of 14 populated provinces and cities populated to find. This is also the solution that PouSung Vietnam Company (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom) applies. With the need of thousands of laborers coming, the company will go to more remote areas, to localities that have not yet developed industry to look for workers. Besides, the treatment for workers is also calculated to retain workers with not too strict requirements.
