After years of choosing models such as growing sprouted vegetable, mushrooms ... Mrs. Dau decided to start growing black termite mushrooms. In order to have knowledge about mushrooms, Mrs Dau registered to attend a training course specializing in mushrooms at the Hi-Tech Center of Ho Chi Minh City before implementing her new business model.

Working styding

By the end of 2019, the first black termite mushroom house was formed with 5,000 embryos imported. Took care every day for the first "child" as well as carefully keeping a diary for experiences when expanding the farm, the first harvest of mushrooms brought satisfactory results when Mrs Dau harvested from 15-20kg of black termite mushrooms every day. All sold after harrvested .

Because the production model is quite new, there are very few people who go ahead to invest in this mushroom, and the reference material is quite limited, so Mrs Dau has to work and learn from the reality, especially during this period, due to the dry season, the humidity is low, the climate is quite hot while the habitat of the black termite fungus most preferred is high humidity, cool and temperate climate from 26-28 celcious. Therefore, although the environment has been "met" as desired, products are still reduced. However, it determined that from the beginning, Mrs Dau was not hurry but calmly learned to handle the environment more appropriately, she shared: “Growing mushrooms outside needs to create a suitable living environment for mushrooms to grow with no chemical sprays or stimulated by any chemical method. Although the care is quite meticulous, every time I step into the mushroom house, I always get caught up in work. I want the mushroom farm to grow more in the future.

Will plant some more high-grade mushrooms

After over one year of quite success with the black termite mushroom line, Mrs Dau continues to cherish more plans to expand the area and diversify the mushroom products in the high-end segment such as: white mushrooms, long-legged mushrooms ... According to Mrs Dau, the investment cost for a black termite mushroom house is much higher than of a conventional mushroom house. Accordingly, the price of embryos for common mushrooms such as abalone mushrooms, mushrooms ... is only a few thousand VND / embryo while the black termite mushroom costs 16-18.000VND / embryo, excluding equipment, cold room to create lips. the habitat for the fungus to grow. Sharing about her future plans, Mrs Dau said that the black termite mushroom market and the demand for some other high-grade mushrooms are on an increasing trend. Her clients recently wanted to have more new mushroom products, so Mrs Dau would research to invest in mushroom houses in the near future. “I want more products made by myself because I can make mushrooms quality by myself. I have been buying mushrooms from some other farms, but the products of other farms are not as good as my own farms ”- Mrs. Dau shared.

Currently, there are a number of localities that have invested in growing black termite mushrooms with a moderate scale in Dong Nai province such as: Nhon Trach, Trang Bom, Bien Hoa City.
