Continuing to deploy "Rice ATMs" and “Zero-VND supermarket”

WP- The Provincial Confederation of Labor (CL) continues to implement the program "rice ATMs" and "Zero-VND supermarket" to support union members and laborers in difficult circumstances affected by the Covid-19 pandemic at Phuoc Thien Commune Community Learning Center, Nhon Trach District. Implementation time of this program will last from May 6 to May 19, 2020.

Those eligible for receiving the rice are workers being suspended from work, postponed in labor contracts, unilaterally terminated with their labor contract. Each worker is entitled to 5 kg of rice from "affectionate rice ATMs" and a gift as the basic necessities from "Zero-VND supermarkets" with the value of 250 thousand VND/ portion.

Previously, the Provincial Confederation of Labor participated in the contribution to the "affectionate rice program" chaired by the Provincial Commission for Public Affairs in Trang Bom district with the amount of 7 tons of rice, and simultaneously implemented the program at the Labor Union of Bien Hoa Industrial Park with 3 thousand gifts. And next May 13, the Provincial Confederation of Labor will continue implementing the program in Thanh Phu commune, Vinh Cuu district to care for union members and employees. The total amount of rice and gifts at 3 locations is over 8,000 portions.

According to Permanent Vice Chairman of CL Nong Van Dung, the program "affectionate Rice ATMs" and “Zero-VND supermarket” is one of the practical activities in the series of activities of the Workers' Month in 2020 to support employees to overcome the current difficult period. Accordingly, the "rice ATMs" with the amount of 15 tons will automatically be divided into 3 thousand portions, each portion is 5kg and "Zero-VND supermarket" has a capacity of 3,000 portions of basic necessities to serve the essential needs of employees.
