Conference on Comprehensive Adjustment of the Overall Master Plan for Bien Hoa City Until 2045

​(News Portal – Dong Nai) – On September 20, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City held a conference on the comprehensive adjustment of the overall master plan for Bien Hoa City until 2045. The conference was chaired by Mr. Ho Van Nam, Secretary of the Bien Hoa City Party Committee. In addition to the Secretary, the event was attended by leaders of various departments and sectors, specialized city divisions, experts, and domestic and international scientists. ​

In March 2023, the Prime Minister approved the task of comprehensively adjusting Bien Hoa City's overall master plan until 2024. Based on the approved planning adjustment tasks, the city's functional agencies and consulting units have been implementing the process of adjusting the general plan. The scientific workshop on the comprehensive adjustment of Bien Hoa City's master plan until 2045 was organized to gather feedback from functional agencies, experts, and scientists, with the goal of identifying the best ideas to refine the planning project.

During the workshop, experts and scientists contributed several important insights on urban structure, transportation infrastructure systems, and the development of green spaces for the comprehensive master plan adjustment of Bien Hoa City until 2045. Notably, several participants emphasized the orientation of Bien Hoa's urban development along the Dong Nai River. Additionally, they discussed linking Bien Hoa's urban development with Long Thanh International Airport, the province's future growth hub. These orientations are expected to help Bien Hoa gradually transition from an "industrial city" model to a "service and industrial city" model, aiming towards smart and sustainable urban development.

In his concluding remarks, Secretary Ho Van Nam requested that the city's competent agencies incorporate the feedback from experts and scientists to finalize the comprehensive adjustment of Bien Hoa City's master plan by 2025. According to Secretary Ho Van Nam, Bien Hoa is the largest economic and industrial center in Dong Nai Province and one of the strategic urban areas in the southern region. Therefore, the adjustment of Bien Hoa City's master plan until 2045 is not merely a local task but a significant mission for the entire province.

The comprehensive adjustment of Bien Hoa City's general master plan will lay the foundation for the city's balanced, harmonious, and sustainable development in the coming years. The planning process is not only about organizing urban space but is also the key to addressing issues related to transportation, population, environment, and the economy, ensuring that Bien Hoa fully meets the standards of a Grade I urban area. This will significantly contribute to the city's development towards becoming a smart, green, and sustainable city, while also resolving the shortcomings of the previous master plan.​

To achieve this goal, the master plan must focus on four key areas: synchronizing technical infrastructure and transportation development; creating green, smart urban spaces; fostering high-quality services and industries; and preserving the city's cultural and historical identity.
