Changing the face of Bien Hoa urban area

​The space and urban landscape of Bien Hoa is expected to be renewed with a series of projects to upgrade and renovate cultural institutions as well as key infrastructure projects that have been and are being implemented.

After completion of construction, Duong Tu Giang Park has created a new community space for the people of Bien Hoa urban area.

New construction and renovation of parks
Early in 2023, Bien Hoa City officially implemented the Bien Hung Park renovation project. With the goal of creating better access of people to the park, the project has implemented the main items including: removing the fence system in front of the park on the side of 30-4 road and Hung Dao Vuong street; demolish the buildings of the Land Fund Development Center, the old Bien Hoa City Land Registration Office to make public parking. Along with that, the old ball house area at Bien Hung Park Center will also be dismantled to create a square area to serve the people's living, playing, and sports needs.

Bien Hung Park renovation project will be completed by the end of January 2023. After being renovated, Bien Hung Park has become a place for cultural, artistic and sports activities of people living in the central area of Bien Hoa City.

According to Bien Hoa City People's Committee, after implementing the renovation project, Bien Hoa City People's Committee will also direct functional departments to organize a contest to complete the design planning of Bien Hung Lake in the Bien Hung Park area. to make this place become a highlight, tourist attraction of Bien Hoa city.

In front of Bien Hung Park, Bien Hoa City also added a new park built to better serve the needs of the people, which is Duong Tu Giang Park.
For a long time, the park system of Bien Hoa city has been evaluated as "both lacking and weak". Therefore, over the past time, Bien Hoa City has focused on investing in building new as well as upgrading existing parks with the goal of improving the operational efficiency of the parks as well as creating highlights for Bien Hoa urban space.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee, said that following the policy of the City Party Committee, in 2023, Bien Hoa City will try to improve the efficiency of cultural institutions to serve people in the area. From there, helping people have more places of entertainment, cultural activities, physical training and sports. In particular, one of the first institutions that need to improve the efficiency of exploitation is the park system. “Currently, there are about 10 parks in Bien Hoa city, in which there are big parks such as: Duong Tu Giang, Nguyen Van Tri, Long Binh, Bien Hung. Among these, two parks are effectively exploited, namely Duong Tu Giang and Nguyen Van Tri, "- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh shared.

For urban dwellers, parks are of great value. However, the park area in Bien Hoa urban area is currently too modest. Therefore, the problem of building more new parks is one of the most urgent problems of Bien Hoa City today.

Head of Urban Management Department of Bien Hoa City, Truong Vinh Hiep, said, currently, Bien Hoa City is adjusting the city's general planning. In which, the city will plan and stabilize the remaining land fund to propose solutions to develop the public system including theme parks.

Along with that, at present, the Provincial People's Committee also has a policy not to auction some "golden" land plots in Bien Hoa city. Instead, these lands will be used to build parks and public parking to meet the needs of the people.

Creating new urban space
Along with the embellishment, the face of Bien Hoa urban area in the coming time is also expected to be upgraded with key traffic projects under construction.
At the end of January, 2023, Thong Nhat Bridge, an item of the central arterial project of Bien Hoa City, was officially started construction. Thong Nhat Bridge will directly connect Thong Nhat Ward with Hiep Hoa Ward. Therefore, this project not only plays the role of traffic connection but also is expected to create a new highlight for Bien Hoa urban space.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung, the project of the central axis of Bien Hoa City, when completed, will open up a new urban development space for the Hiep Hoa island area, promises to be the main axis connecting traffic at the eastern gateway of Bien Hoa City. Since then, creating better conditions for regional economic and social development, contributing to perfecting the urban space, completing step by step the traffic planning of Bien Hoa city and the province.

Before that, another key traffic project that is not along the Dong Nai River (section from Hoa An bridge to the border with Vinh Cuu) was also started construction. Like the Thong Nhat bridge project, the Dong Nai riverside road with a system of parks along the river, in addition to the goal of completing traffic connections, is also expected to open a new urban space for Bien Hoa City. In particular, this is a project that will help exploit more effectively the landscape of the Dong Nai River in the process of embellishing, upgrading space and urban landscape for Bien Hoa City.

In addition to the above two projects, the Cai riverside road project (the section from Ha Huy Giap street to Tran Quoc Toan street) that will be deployed and built in the near future will also be the next "piece" in the process of creating a new look for Bien Hoa urban area. In particular, the process of turning Dong Nai River into the main landscape axis of the city, turning Bien Hoa urban area into an urban area along the Dong Nai river.
