The leadership has a working session with Xuan Loc district

Currently, Xuan Loc district’s agriculture, commerce – service and industry account for 40.1%, 26.5% and 33.4% respectively. In 2009, Xuan Loc’s agricultural growth reached over 6% and its per capita income was nearly VND13.4 million, up 19% compared to 2008. 98.2% of Xuan Loc’s households are using electricity and more than 95% of its households have obtained a supply of clean water. 13 out of 15 its communes and towns have completed the universalization of junior secondary education ...

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh said that in addition to its achievements, Xuan Loc has still had such weaknesses as failing to publicize highly effective production models and being unable to meet workers’ needs for vocational training. Thanh stressed that Xuan Loc should check up on and adjust its agricultural and rural planning, supply instructions on how to promote the growth of its agricultural products and domestic animals which have a strong competitiveness and take market demand and export into full consideration before production. Besides, Xuan Loc is expected to send more staffs who are in charge of agricultural encouragement to communes, make plans to attract qualified staffs from other localities, cooperate with unions in calling for people’s step-by-step transition to a centralized production model and create more non-agriculture jobs, which help raise people’s incomes. In the meantime, in terms of rural construction work it is a necessity to focus on establishing two more model communes.
